East Sussex Vehicle Adaptation Center was formed in 1998. We have carried out work for customers as far away as Devon, such is the shortage of good quality and reliable Motability Accredited  garages providing this service.

 

John Bartlett

I have been a motor vehicle technician for over 30 years and run my own garage in Eastbourne.
Mary told me that she was frequently being asked about vehicle adaptations by her pupils. The lack of choice and reliable service were among the main comments.

I decided to attend a Motability Training Course and acquire an Accreditation Certificate.
My product research led me to manufacturer's who were market leaders in this field. They gave me Technical and fitting training and so ESVAC began. Now two years later we are going from strength to strength.

I qualified as an approved driving instructor (A.D.I.)  in April 1988.
Two years later I decided to seek further training in the disability side of driving instruction and, as a result, became more acquainted with the many types of adaptations there are.

After many happy years in this field I have now retired in order to help John run ESVAC.

My years as a top grade instructor (6) ADI has certainly held me in good sted as we get many requests for help and advice.

Adaptation: Hand control brake and accelerator with integral indicator switch in lever handle.

Duncan say's  " John was extremely helpful in my first telephone enquiry call to him and put me at ease very quickly. The work was carried out in plenty of time for the handover of my new car. My old car had two push/pull rods from the steering wheel to the pedals. The new Jeff Gosling fitting only has one rod and a cable and gives much more leg space.
Mary gave me a follow-up call and asked all the right questions. I have found ESVAC a cheerful and efficient company to use and will certainly be using them again in the future."
